Las Vegas, NV -- Coaches from across the United States will attend the first annual Soccer Champions Coaches’ Clinic, March 11-13 in Las Vegas at the South Point Hotel. Led by World Cup Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist Coach Tony DiCicco and National Champion Collegiate Men’s Coach Ray Reid, this multi-day clinic for soccer coaches of all levels will feature some of the world’s top soccer minds – including current LA Galaxy Head Coach and Winningest U.S. Men’s National Team Coach Bruce Arena and World Cup Champion and Hall of Famer Mia Hamm.
A soccer field will be constructed at South Point Arena, enabling the presenters to conduct large-scale field demonstrations with players from regional youth teams.
“The Soccer Champions Coaches’ Clinic in Las Vegas is a must-attend event for soccer coaches of all levels,” says Ray Reid. “Youth coaches, high school coaches, college coaches – all will learn cutting-edge techniques from these top soccer clinicians.”
Coaches can earn their “E” Certificates (through the event’s partnership with the Nevada Youth Soccer Association) and will become NSCAA members (applies to new NSCAA members only). “A” License coaches can earn two U.S. Soccer Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
2010 presenters include: Bruce Arena – Current LA Galaxy General Manager/Head Coach, Winningest U.S. Men’s National Team Coach and MLS & NCAA Champion Coach; Mia Hamm – World Cup and Olympic Champion, Hall of Famer and Soccer Legend; Bob Gansler – U.S. World Cup Coach and MLS Champion Coach; Tony DiCicco – ’96 Women’s World Cup Champion, ’99 Olympic Gold Medalist Coach and Current Head Coach of WPS’ Boston Breakers; Jillian Ellis – U.S. U20 Women’s National Team and UCLA Women’s Head Coach; Ralph Perez – Past U.S. Soccer National Staff Coach, LA Galaxy Coach, and Current University of Redlands Head Coach; Jeff Tipping – NSCAA Director of Coaching Education; and Ray Reid – Four-Time Men’s National Champion Collegiate Coach and current University of Connecticut Men’s Soccer Coach.
